Student resources can be found on our Studyspace website and include some very useful tools including chapter outlines, chapter quizzes, interactive maps, flashcards, audio, and video.

Faculty

 

Faculty resources can be found on the Norton Resource Library website and inculde tools such as a coursepack, an Instructor's Manual and a Testbank (both in PDF), Lecture Powerpoints, Art from the book for use in your own Powerpoints, and a test generator called Examview. Instructions for accessing and downloading or ordering Instructor materials can be found in the Professor Toolkit.

Packages and Readers

There are lots of options for packaging your Tindall and Shi text with one or more of Norton's other great case books (like The Age of Jim Crow), For the Record (A reader by David Shi), or one of the many great History monographs in Norton's catalogue.

For the Record Includes a rich collection of 225 primary sources, both textual and visual, with just the right amount of pedagogy for introductory students. The fourth edition includes a number of documents designed to highlight the new theme of religion in Tindall and Shi’s America. For the Record can be packaged with any Norton history text for an additional $10 net.

 

Norton Video Offer

Create your own video list! For orders of 100 new books or more, you are eligible for a free subscription to Netflix for one semester (4 months). During the term of your subscription, you may rent up to three DVDs at a time from Netflix’s library of over 50,000 titles. The Netflix catalog includes many feature films dealing with topics taught in the American history survey course, as well as a broad array of historical documentaries, History Channel/ PBS productions.
